Why does my 98 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T squeak on start up?
The squeaking seems to last a lot longer when I start it up cold. When i start it up cold its a constant screach until i put it into reverse or drive then everytime i hit the gas it screaches through acceleration. It'll do this for about the first minute or so of driving. Then sometimes when its warm and i start it up it does the same thing but only for a few seconds and stops. Could this be one of my belts? The turbo possibly?
Your fan belt is loose, go get it tightened.
